I am thrilled to be a co-teacher with Barry Willer for this year’s Whatever It Takes brain injury rehabilitation training course. I have been a Clinical Psychologist for more than 20 years initially working with adolescents with drug and alcohol addictions as well as working in community mental health. My personal interest in brain injury stretches back 30 years and I have worked professionally in this area for the past 16 years. My passion is to contribute to people being able to live their lives in the ways that they value. This means supporting staff, clients and families to build the best life they can through gaining knowledge and supports that are useful and meaningful. Over the last few years I have worked with whānau in South Auckland to co-develop programmes designed to educate and strengthen whānau of adults with serious brain injury as well as their wider communities.
